About a month or so ago I was blog surfing as I do a lot now to find new Tatting patterns along with helpful hints from everyone out there. I found the Angles in the Snow Pattern by Miranda Rensberger I loved the pattern along with reason she made the pattern and was selling it. I work in the Medical Field and this is away for me to give back so I just had to have the pattern. After sitting on pins and needles making Abigal and liked the end result I decided that I needed something else to give me a push. I can only really do chains and rings at his point I decided that next would be the Self-Closing Mock Ring. Hmmm found one blog on this and still had to scratch my head and say hmmm I just didn't understand. I had to enlist some help from a wonderful friend that inspired me in tatting. Wanda was so kind to show me step by step in picture's how to do a SCMR. I have to sit today and give it a try and see how things go. I wanted to share what I have done so far. I had to mark my shuttles with numbers so I didn't have an absent minded moment as I sometimes end up having when I get busy.
I have choose the Handy Hands, Lizbeth - Ocean Turquoise Lt - # 658 for this pattern.
That looks like a good start. Let me know how it goes. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, that's a great idea about numbering your shuttles. It will help a lot when trying to figure out which shuttle to use.
